The finger pointing began even before the election last night was concluded. Whether Coakley’s loss was the result of the White House or her lackluster campaign entirely misses the point. Both camps consists of politicians so they cannot go where I am going to go. The fault lies not in either but with the nihilism [...]

There were many offensive signs at the so-called 9-12 rallies, so named as they were supposedly catching the spirit of unity immediately following the attacks on 9/11/2001. One sign, however, crossed an even worse line, inciting domestic terrorism.

This same cut-off quote of Thomas Jefferson was worn by William Kostric who came to a health care [...]

The astroturf organization, Conservatives for Patients’ Rights (CPR), started a backlash across the Pond yesterday. As reported by the Daily Times the Brits didn’t take too kindly to have their citizens being used as propaganda fodder. It prompted an uprising from British citizens on Twitter and sent the British pols scrambling.

Then Governor Palin announced that April 16, 2008 was Healthcare Decision Day, endorsing advance directives and noting the abysmal number of people who haven’t done it. Update: The New York Post is reporting that Nancy Genovese, Glenn Beck fan, FEMA camp conspiracy theorist, and tea bagger, was casing out a Long Island National Guard base. She had in her car the arsenal pictured to the right. Of course there will always be the unhinged and the mentally ill who listen to the crazy conspiracies [...]

Our current recession was the result of a credit crisis. Unregulated derivatives, e.g. collateralized debt obligations (CDOs) and credit default swaps (CDSs), collapsed which in turn caused financial institutions to distrust each other. When the velocity of money started hovering close to zero the real economy collapsed since even good businesses could not get credit.

in Sarah Palin

By now everybody and their brother have commented on the press conference that was so incoherent  literally no one knows what it was about. But that’s typical for all things Sarah. So, instead of making a prediction that will most likely be wrong, I will instead project what I hope the press conference means. I [...]
